The hate around fitted sheets
People hate fitted sheets. A popular radio station in Ireland, Today FM, recently posted a funny yet true posting containing a quote from Heath Franklin aka @EI_JefeDelChop that got the comments flowing in support of his claim.
“The people who make fitted sheets need to sit down with the people who make mattresses and get on the same god damn page. Making the bed shouldn’t be like putting a swimming cap over a fridge.”
As an innovative linen company we could not agree more, that is why we took a wide approach to our products to ensure it works across all the different types and sizes of mattresses available.
With over 24 000 comments and 56 000 shares on the post we decided to share our Top 10 that shows the frustration with making your bed, is not unique to South Africans, but as frustrating for people in the northern hemisphere as well.

It’s the same for sleeping bag manufacturing. The bags are prepackaged into bag by vacuum sealing machines. NO ONE can hand roll a sleeping bag and fit it back into the bag ever again – Sally Edwards

I’ve actually punched myself in the face trying to stretch the bloody sheet corners to fit over the mattress corner, the opposite corner pops off and I copped my own fist – Anne Foster

So true… I’m in my 80’s and I put off changing the fitted sheet…it’s such a difficult job – I’m worn out by the time I’ve finished…… AND changing the duvet cover is equally as challenging – Carol Rimmington

Changing duvet covers, an absolute nightmare. I do the outside in thing and still about 40 minutes later I feel like I am punching my way out of a tea bag. Worst household job by a mile. – Allison Lamont
